Chef Tomo Osawa is originally from Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from culinary school in Seattle, Washington and fell in love with the U.S. during her time as a student. Post-graduation, Chef Tomo hit the ground running working at popular restaurants in Seattle. Chef Tomo relocated to Los Angeles in 2010 and worked in famed kitchens such as Joe's Restaurant in Venice and assisted Chef Sherry Yard at Spago in Beverly Hills. Soon after, Chef Tomo became pastry chef at Amandine Patisserie in the exclusive Brentwood neighborhood of L.A.. Chef Tomo moved to Phoenix in 2013 and spent two years designing and producing the pastry menu at Echo Coffee in south Scottsdale. She was hired by the owners of a hip new Central Corridor cafe in Phoenix for the restaurant's 2015 launch. Her signature culinary twist uses her influences from French, American and Japanese cuisine.
